Last night I watched a PBS program about Charles Schultz, the creator of the Peanuts cartoon strip. I was touched by the program. It told how Mr. Schultz often wondered if people loved him for who he was, not just for being rich and famous as a cartoonist. He seemed not to have gotten words of affirmation when he was young and needed them from others. It reminded me of myself. I went to bed in a contemplative mood after having watched the program.
