Child abuse or child discipline

The Bene Diction blog has just posted on child abuse intended to be child discipline and administered within the context of a deeply religious environment. I encourage you to read that blog post.

Al--thank you for pointing this out. I left a comment there. I think the abuse is quite clear. These people aren't really fooling anybody. There is denial, yes. But, I think, deep down, we all know the truth.

I have a poem for you, I made it myself...
There is blood in my mouth.
I can taste the iron.
There is a ring around my eye, black and blue.
I heard a loud crack in my wrist.
It's probably broken.
A lump on my head.
Oh, that's old.
My shirt is ripped.
My pants were torn off.
My bra pushed up, the underwire cutting into my chest.
And finally my underwear, laid ripped in a pair of hands.
A twinkle in the eyes, a smile on the face, climbs on board.
Thrust, pain, thrust, pain, thrust.
And it only lasts a few seconds.
Smack on the face, I was too loud.
Try to cry, but is hit again.
Put them back on.
Walk out the door.
Everyone stares, a question on there face.
Smack on the head, eyes water.
This is what happens,
to those who don't obey him.
